Game Night at Crossroads THIS FRIDAY!

Game night This Friday, Extra Life Ministries will be hosting a board game night at Crossroads Christian Fellowship. We will have the usual favorites like Scrabble and Apples to Apples, but also some lesser known ones like Tsuro and 1960. You are welcome to bring your own game too. There will be a nacho bar and a potluck of snacks to give you energy as you get your game on. Everyone is welcome to join!

Heroism

I’m very pleased. City of Heroes is now free-to-play, and it runs on my wife’s computer. This is good news because it runs very poorly on my aging laptop. Looks like I’ll be making my way back to Paragon City and the Rogue Isles once again. Woot! I’ve updated the “Game With Me!” page with the servers I play on.

Geeks Step Up

On 3/16, Bungie — creator of the Halo series — announced a fundraiser for relief efforts in Japan. Japan quake relief wristbands are available for $5 through the Bungie Store and Amazon.com, with the proceeds going to the Red Cross.

Early Bird

I woke up this morning fighting inertia; that is, trying unsuccessfully to get my limbs to move. I was apparently trapped in some quantum Monday gravity well. Rough stuff.

When Your Powers Combine…

I have a pretty low idea-to-action ratio. I’ve had lots of ideas for stories and other creative projects through the years, but very little success in seeing them through.
