It’s strange how humans don’t have to do things they don’t want to do. Like at dinner earlier, when she didn’t like the food, so she didn’t eat it. She just made the restaurant people give her something else. I thought it tasted really good.

She said I was crazy. But when I told her about what Goliaths usually eat, she said she thought that was why I thought the food was good.

234 always said humans complain a lot. I think I see what he means.

I think I might complain a lot if I had to make so many choices every day. They have to pick everything. Their clothes, their food, where they go, what they do…. We have it easy. We get told where and when, and what to shoot. [chuckle] Then we just figure out how.

[pause] I’m still not sure why they let me choose this mission. They told me I could say no. They’ve never said that before.

She thinks its because I needed to want to do it. I needed to choose it myself.

I’m not sure why that makes it better. But… it felt good to say yes when I didn’t have to.

That’s another thing. She says it matters what I feel, too, not just what I think. That it’s good to record it. I’m not sure why it matters.

I’ve been saying that a lot, lately. “I’m not sure why.”
